Learning Business Administrator ...
Using the Q&A grid In Contact Manager, if you haven’t corrected it already, you will see either “[Your Business]” or “[Unknown] [Member of staff]" depending on whether you are in Company mode or People mode. They will both have the address "[Unknown Address]". You should correct these straight away. Double clicking any of them will take you into a dialogue for editing contact details. There, you will see a list of questions with some answers given: that is the Q&A grid, which conducts mini interviews. Fill this out as best you can and click “Save and Close” in the Function Bar on the top left. The icons and the Managers Towards the bottom left side of the screen, you’ll see 4 icons. These hold commands that you won’t use very often. One of them is The Managers, and lists all the Managers that are available to you. There won’t be many until you start the financial systems (if you’re dying to start the financial systems, read Starting the Financial Systems first – you may not want to do this just yet). Setting security Using those icons, select HR Manager, which is responsible for managing security, among other things. There, you should see your name listed. Double-click your name, and you will be led to the Personnel Details dialogue. Note the tabs at the top of the dialogue, and click “System Security”, and you will see a list of the privileges you have on the system. Since you are the first on the system, you have full access to all. But you probably should not allow that for all staff. Click “Cancel and Close” to close the dialogue, unless you wish to update other settings. It’s easy to use Business Administrator So that how easy it is to use Business Administrator, and it’s pretty much like that across the system. The trick will be to get Business Administrator to help you run your business efficiently, and there is a wealth of information on the main site and the information centre to help you do that. Most importantly, the main task is to get data on to the system because, without that, Business Administrator won’t be in much of a position to help. Thank you for using Business Administrator. |
